About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer I, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, robust systems that cater to millions of Prime users globally. Your technical expertise will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that enhance the Prime experience and help Amazon maintain its position as a leader in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop Right Solutions: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to solve broadly defined problems.
- Implement Algorithms: Leverage your strong understanding of algorithms and data structures to create efficient systems.
- Object-Oriented Programming: Build large-scale distributed systems using object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to create innovative Prime solutions.
- Enhance System Performance: Identify areas for system optimization and propose scalable solutions.

Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or C/C++.
- Educational Background: A solid foundation in Computer Science, evidenced by a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Algorithm Knowledge: A strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

- Advanced Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
