🔥 Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at IBM, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines for batch and stream processing. Your main tasks include:
✅ Implementing and validating predictive models and statistical models with a focus on big data
✅ Designing and implementing enterprise search applications such as Elasticsearch and Splunk
✅ Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and consultants in an Agile environment
✅ Building data processing routines and cleansing large datasets efficiently
✅ Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter or cloud-based tools
✅ Gathering requirements, identifying data sources, and resolving data quality issues
✅ Supporting data ingestion and solving technical challenges related to data integration
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
✔️ Expertise in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Data Integration
✔️ Strong knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter)
✔️ Experience with SQL, Big Data technologies, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting
✔️ Knowledge of Cloud platforms (MS Azure), Power BI, and Data Migration
✔️ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
