JK Police Recruitment 2024 : In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has forwarded a proposal for the recruitment of 4022 police constable positions to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on February 20, 2024. This long-awaited announcement has brought relief to aspirants, marking the end of a four-year hiatus since the last advertisement for police constable positions in the J&K police was released in 2019.
The upcoming recruitment drive is expected to fortify the constable ranks within the police department, which plays a pivotal role in counter-insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official spokesperson, this initiative holds the promise of significantly enhancing the law enforcement’s capability to effectively address diverse security challenges and maintain peace and order. The 4022 vacancies will be distributed between the UT cadre and Divisional cadre. The UT cadre will see 2333 positions filled, while the remaining 1689 will be allocated to the Divisional cadre.
