Job Overview:

This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in design-related fields, allowing them to bring their creative skills to the real-world projects at Microsoft. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end user experiences through creative visual designs, wireframes, personas, and more.
- Focus on developing innovative solutions while balancing business and technical trade-offs.
- Contribute to the design system at Microsoft, ensuring its consistency and broad adoption.
- Work with UX researchers, product planners, and developers from planning through implementation.
- Incorporate customer feedback into product design enhancements and strategies.
- Ensure that designs align with both user needs and business objectives, negotiating where necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Must have at least one semester remaining after completing the internship.
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and understanding of design principles.
- Experience with UX research methods and the ability to turn research insights into design solutions.
Additional Skills:
- Problem-solving capabilities and a command of both visual and interaction design.
- Experience with user-centered design methodologies.
- Knowledge of task flows, journey mapping, and other design tools for hardware and software experiences.
