About the Role
As a Software Test Engineer at Qualcomm, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and modifying test cases to validate cutting-edge software. Your contributions will help launch world-class embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, and automation tools. Collaborating with engineering teams, you’ll ensure the quality and success of Qualcomm’s revolutionary products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Validation: Develop and implement test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to validate software functionality.
- Functional Testing: Write tests for software features to ensure they meet the required functionality.
- Defect Management: Identify, analyze, and document software defects to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Automation: Develop test case automations and scripts to enhance productivity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to achieve objectives and improve product quality.
Qualifications Required
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- 1+ years of experience with programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with software/system testing, test plan development, and automation tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, CI tools, Bug Tracking Tools).
Key Skills
- Strong programming expertise in C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Knowledge of software testing and system validation.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and productivity tools.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
