Board Exams 2022: The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition to cancel the 10th and 12th class offline examinations of many boards including CBSE, ICSE. A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar on Wednesday dismissed this petition, saying that such petitions give false comfort to the students.
Board Exams 2022: The court has said that at present there is no such crisis-like situation that the examinations should be cancelled. These petitions create confusion among the students. With this move of the court, it seems that now the board examinations will be held on time. However, the decision of the respective states and education board is still awaited in this matter.
Board Exams 2022: Significantly, there was a demand to cancel the offline examinations for the 10th and 12th class students of many states of the country and a petition was filed in the Supreme Court on this matter.
Board Exams 2022: During the hearing of this case, the bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar has also reprimanded the petitioner and expressed displeasure and also warned of imposition of fine. However, later the court did not impose any fine on the petitioner.
What is the whole matter: Students from 15 states demanded that the offline examination should be canceled and the result should be made through alternative evaluation method. Apart from this, the students also demanded the option of Improvement Exam.
