Delhi University Assistant Professor Recruitment 2021 Education Qualification :-

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:

For the disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, Languages and Library Science.

Eligibility (A or B): A.

A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
Ph.D. Degree in a concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this document).

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Note: The academic score as specified in the screening guidelines for the departments of the University shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.

For the discipline of Management Studies:

Essential:
First Class Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration/ in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/ accredited by the AICTE / UGC.

First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

Ph.D. Degree in a concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this document).

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Desirable:

Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization;
Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

For the discipline of Music

Eligibility (A or B): A.

Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/foreign University.

Ph.D. Degree in a concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR (exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this document).

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

A traditional or a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievements in

the subject concerned having a Bachelor’s degree, who has:

studied under a noted/reputed traditional master(s)/artist(s)
been ‘A’ grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan;
the ability to explain, with logical reasoning the subject concerned; and
adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline concerned. (Kindly refer to General Note in the last section of this document)

For the discipline of Education:

Postgraduate degree with minimum 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.
Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education) with minimum 55% marks.
Ph.D. Degree in a concerned subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Note:

For those subjects where the NCTE norms for qualifications for posts relating to B.El.Ed. stipulate only M.A./ M.Sc. and PG degree or research in Education, the minimum marks in that discipline should be 55%.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) shall be in Education for those positions where M.Ed. is a requirement. For those positions which do not require M.Ed., NET shall be in the subject concerned.

Exemption from NET shall be granted in accordance with clause (ii) & (iii) of General Note in the last section of this document.

The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:
