UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam Rescheduled : The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam, previously canceled due to a paper leak, is now set to take place on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024. The examination will fill 60,244 constable positions.
Exam Dates Announced: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released the dates for the Direct Recruitment-2023 written examination for Constable Civil Police. The exams will be conducted over five days, with two shifts each day, accommodating around five lakh candidates per shift.
Previous Cancellation: The initial examination was called off due to a paper leak. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had assured that a new exam would be conducted within six months, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
Government Commitment: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has reiterated its commitment to a transparent and timely examination process. Detailed guidelines for the exam preparation, selection of centers, candidate verification, and prevention of impersonation were issued on June 19, 2024.
Strict Penalties for Cheating: To ensure the integrity of the exams, the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance-2024 (Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 6, 2024) has been enacted. This ordinance mandates severe penalties for cheating, including life imprisonment and fines up to one crore rupees.
Free Bus Service for Candidates: Candidates appearing for the exam will be provided with free bus travel by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. To avail of this benefit, candidates must download two extra copies of their admit card—one for the bus conductor on the way to the exam center and one for the return journey.
