About Consultant – Project Coordinator

Project description

United Way Bengaluru is implementing STEM learning classroom project in 35 Government schools in 7 locations and Scholarship support program for 200 students in 5 locations. This is a CSR funded project with rigid timelines and defined deliverables to be achieved. 

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitating workshops in schools as per regular intervals
  • Develop good and cordial relationships with the stakeholders at the schools, government departments and the community
  • Communicate requirements to relevant departments and project manager to keep progress on track
  • Identification of candidates for the scholarship program
  • Background verification of student details for scholarship program
  • Coordinating offline and online interviews of students for the scholarship program
  • Verification of candidates fees structure and bank details for the smooth distribution of payments
  • Conducting offline and online mentoring sessions for the students
  • Work with the project manager and the Vendor in construction of STEM classroom as per the agreed plan of work, quality and timeline
  • Provide training to the school teachers regarding any specific areas as required
  • Ensure all activities are completed as per the plan and timeline
  • To make preparation for donor visits and volunteering activities as and when needed
  • Be part of the periodic project review meetings and present the updates including weekly / monthly /quarterly reports
  • Complete ownership of the photo / video documentation especially the infrastructure work for STEM learning classroom and field visits for scholarship program

General responsibilities

  • Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritization skills
  • Ensure that the organization policies and protocols are being adhered to at all levels
  • Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security
  • Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes at short notice, including to rural and remote places as per need of project or organization
  • Be available for volunteering, disaster response and other emergency needs
  • Work closely with project manager
  • Take responsibility in managing assigned projects whenever necessary

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • Candidate with any degree
  • Experiences of working on Scholarship/Skill development/ STEM Projects
  • Good experience and understanding of community outreach activities
  • Experience of up to 4 years, more than 4 years is advantage
  • Proficiency in English and in local language
  • Past experience of working in CSR domain will be helpful
  • Sound understanding and implementation of work ethics

Salary 

25,000/- per month
